KEEPING PROMISES

For the first time ever on KEYS FOR KIDDOS I used both Bosworth and Corky in the same skit.

This KEYS FOR KIDDOS skit is about the importance of keeping your promise.

The Harmony Key Kids Really  to Ca- caw caw caw Crow. Bosworth has promised to come and crow with the Harmony Key kids but doesn't show up.

Corky arrives and reveals that last time he saw Bosworth he was playing hide and go beak with his magpie cousins up in the rafters of the Harmony Key Theatre. The kids are so disappointed.  Corky attempts to make them happy by crowing with them but being  a Cowboy who Yeehaawws it just isn't right--

Mr. Phil spots Bosworth and he and Corky go and get him bringing him back to the Kids so they can all crow as was promised. Mr. Phil lectures Bosworth on the importance of keeping your word. Bosworth apologizes for not keeping his promise.

The Harmony Key kids have their cowbells ready for Corky and his Yeehaw calls!

All's well that ends well. Bosworth apologizes and learns his lesson about keeping his promise. Then the Harmony Key kids and Bosworth crow!

Bosworth's Christmas skit for KEYS FOR KIDDOS

We shot a version of Bosworth's Christmas skit I did at the Crighton Theatre in Conroe TX last season tweaked for TV and adding in the Kids of Harmony Key. It's always tricky when you give your lines to the kids to talk with Bosworth, but they did very well with the parts. I had counted on having 5 or 6 kids in the skit, when I showed up at Keys Media  Buddy Gurganus had 14 kids and they all had kazoos and were having a great time. We did the skit and then formed the Harmony Key Choir with Ms. Lydia  as the Choir Director.  Bosworth sang four Christmas Carols with the Kids of Harmony Key. We made it through the 4 hour shoot and I hope it'll turn out well when they get it all edited. I didn't get to check the frame or monitor like I usually do because there were just too many people and too much stuff in the studio when we were shooting.  It was a lot of work to rework the skit practice it and then get it shot while juggling the FX work that is my day job at Facades FX and I added in a new Carol for Bosworth this season RANDALPH THE RED BEAKED MAGPIE. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

CORKY THEN AND NOW

Corky O' Nelson is named for Corky the character from Magic and Jimmy Nelson. He was invented for my stage play MURDER FOR DUMMIES.  In Murder for Dummies he's a posh 5th Avenue Charlie McCarthy type Character.  He was very well received in the show getting a bigger ovation than any of the other cast including myself.  After the play I decided to  keep him in my act and wanted a cowboy figure. I tried Corky in the cowboy outfit and really worked great so there he is and there he'll stay!
