Keys for Kiddos had a live show at the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. It was a success and we will be doing more of these live productions.

FIRST FRIDAY AT UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON

VENTRILOQUISM REVEALED: 

 FROM NECROMANCY TO BROADWAY

I was asked to give a talk on Ventriloquism to the University of Houston's Drama Department.

I gave a 90 minute talk on the History of Ventriloquism, how it evolved from necromancy and soothsaying into what it is to perform it today as a performance art.

Bosworth did a few jokes  for the students and it was a lot of fun!
There were even a couple students who thought they might like to take it up.

  I also gave them a peak under the hood showing them how a Ventriloquist figure works.

  At the of the program I was presented with photos of my Mentor Edgar Bergen. It was a wonderful time.

KEYS FOR KIDDOS Human Dummy skit

Buddy Gurganus Creator/Executive Producer/Director of KEYS FOR KIDDOS asked me to do a Human Dummy skit with one of th kids in homage of the Paul Winchell Lucielle Ball skit that was done on the Lucy Show in the early 1970's.

BANQUET SHOW FOR OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH

On March 1 I performed an evening of Ventriloquism for the Our Savior Lutheran Church's 23rd Annual Mother Daughter Banquet. It was a fine and fun evening of Ventriloquism and Laughs. I could not have had a better audience. I had worked up the show especially for the Church using notes they had sent me on what they'd like me to include. The show went over big time. All of the bits were well received but the Human Dummy and Bosworth's closing got the biggest belly laughs.

When I got home I had received a testimonial email from Debbie Addams the Event Coordinator it said:

Phil,

I just wanted to tell you again what a great performance you gave tonight.

You have a God -given talent and what a way to share your faith with others .

Mr. Phil, Ms. Melissa, Bosworth and Corky made the journey up to Dallas Texas to be on Mary Fay Jackson's SOUTHERN GOSPEL PRAISE.

 It was a great road trip and lots of fun performing Gospel Ventriloquism in Dallas Texas the buckle of the Bible Belt.

 Corky was witty and wonderful with his tales of bragging and Bosworth stole the show as usual.

What a wonderful program to have been able to be a part of.  Looks like we'll be making the journey up that way more often to spread laughter and the Good News!

KEYS FOR KIDDOS BRAGGING Skit

This this weeks episode of KEYS FOR KIDDOS the kids learn about the bad behavior of bragging.
Corky and Mr. Phil are rehearsing for their show. Corky did not study his script because he was visiting his Uncle Wyatt who also had a visitor a teller of Tall tales named Wylie Pat Gavin. Corky delights the Harmony Key Kids with the bragging stories. Mr. Phil and Corky explain to  them  that  name dropping and bragging are not good behavior according to the book of Jeremiah in The Bible.
